What it does

How Bollinger %B reads the chart.

%B tells you where price is inside its Bollinger envelope: 0 at the lower band, 1 at the upper. Instead of a sub-panel oscillator you have to map back to price, Imprint Bollinger %B draws the bands faintly on the chart and pins a vertical gradient rail to the right edge: its top is the upper band, its bottom the lower band, red to green. A bright knob rides the rail at price's exact %B (popping above when price breaks the upper band, below when it breaks the lower), with a live readout, a zone label, and a BAND WALK flag when price keeps riding a band. Selectable MA basis and optional smoothing. Display-only: it places no orders and changes no data.

FAQ

Common questions.

What is %B?
%B measures where the last price sits relative to the bands: 0 is the lower band, 1 the upper, 0.5 the basis. Above 1 or below 0 means price closed outside the bands.
How is this different from a normal %B?
It lives on the price chart, not a sub-panel: a gradient rail mapped to the live band range with a knob at price's position, so you read it in context without looking away from price.
