The chart has a job
Compress hesitation. Preserve movement.
Time bars give every minute equal weight. Imprint Candle gives directional movement the weight. A bar establishes or continues after the configured Drive, while a counter-move from the active extreme uses the independent Reversal threshold.

Reversal is measured from the extreme
The counter-move is measured from the highest or lowest traded tick of the active sequence, not from an arbitrary clock boundary.

Operating setup
A buyer never gets just a ZIP.
Every delivery includes 00-OPERATING-MANUAL.txt. The download page and receipt email both direct you to it before installation, and every component inside the paired bundle carries its own manual.

Read, then import
Open the download and read 00-OPERATING-MANUAL.txt. In NinjaTrader 8, choose Tools → Import → NinjaScript Add-On, select the original ImprintCandle ZIP, then restart NinjaTrader.

Activate
Add Imprint Candle License to a standard chart with License Key blank. Copy its exact 8-character Machine ID. If it is not shown on-chart, open Control Center → New → NinjaScript Output, then remove and re-add the indicator once. Activate at imprint.ltd/activate with your purchase email, paste the issued key, and reload the chart.

Create the chart
Open Data Series, select Imprint Candle, choose the intended contract and trading-hours template, then start with 6 / 10 on ES or 31 / 40 on NQ.
If the issue remains after setup, email hello@imprint.ltd with a Help → About screenshot, a fresh Control Center → Log screenshot after restart and one reproduction, and a chart screenshot with Data Series or Indicators open.
FAQ
Know exactly what you are buying.
Is Imprint Candle a signal or automated strategy?
No. It is a custom NinjaTrader 8 BarsType that controls chart construction. It does not identify setups or place orders by itself. Pair it with Flow Signals Strategy when you want Imprint signals, HMM permission, entries, and trade management.
Is this the Imprint Flow footprint display?
No. Imprint Candle builds directional-excursion candles. Imprint Flow is the separate bid/ask footprint and order-flow display product.
Do the ES and NQ presets guarantee a result?
No. Drive 6 / Reversal 10 for ES and Drive 31 / Reversal 40 for NQ are starting points for chart construction. They are not entries, stops, targets, or profit claims. Both values remain configurable.
What version of NinjaTrader is required?
The retail build was compiled and validated against NinjaTrader 8.1.8.1 on Windows and requires a market-data connection for the instrument being charted. Compatibility with newer platform releases should be confirmed before upgrading a production installation.
How is the software delivered and protected?
Stripe returns you to a protected delivery page immediately after payment. The compiled retail assembly is obfuscated, activation is tied to the Machine ID shown by the included license indicator, and the download includes the operating manual.
